Disinfection Efficacy
Testing
GAP has extensive experience providing microbial support for
UV disinfection validation efforts following USEPA and NWRI
protocols. Our laboratory is equipped with a collimated-beam
apparatus. This apparatus is used to determine the dose-response
of microorganisms to UV light. Our analysts are fully trained
to conduct these experiments using accepted industry procedures
and standards.
Supply
of Microorganisms for Challenge Testing
As well as providing analysis for bioassay samples, GAP provides
challenge microorganisms stocks, such as Bacteriophage MS2,
Phi-x 174, or T1UV.
Air Quality Analysis
and Equipment Supply
GAP EnviroMicrobial Services provides equipment and laboratory
analysis for indoor air quality monitoring. We can supply
the equipment needed to collect samples, or we can arrange
for one of our analysts to conduct the testing.
Pathogen Detection
We analyze samples for the presence of microbial pathogens
such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Clostridium perfringens,
Salmonella, Shigella, Staphylococcus, and Campylobacter.
In addition, GAP is accreditated for Legionella testing
and provides quantitative L. pneumophila serotype 1,
L. pneumophila serotype 2-14 and other Legionella
species results using a method that combines culturable, serological
and molecular techniques.
Molecular Biology
GAP provides a wide range of molecular analysis, including
microbial source tracking using fingerprint analysis and RealTime
PCR.
